Eva... please don't talk

The blogs today are going crazy today after Eva Longoria said something about Tony Parker... this is via truehoop and dallasbasketball.com... ohhh it's a surprise that a Dallas basketball blog misconstrued someone's words to make a San Antonio Spur's player look bad.

The actress admits it's tough watching her husband play for the San Antonio Spurs - because she never knows when he's really hurt, and when he's acting. She says, "Sometimes he acts to get the flagrant foul or, to sell the foul more, he'll throw himself on the floor and really play it up more than what it is. "I really don't know what the difference is so I'm like, 'Stop laying on the ground if you're not hurt. Just get up!' He's like, 'Honey, I have to stay on the ground sometimes.'

I don't think she was saying that he he flops, but I think she was just saying that she gets nervous when he goes down because she thinks he might be hurt... oh well all I know is that if Devin Harris of the Dallas Mavericks had a famous wife she couldn't bare to watch all of his great acting

Eva Longoria launching after-school center in S.A. for disabled children

Eva's Heroes, a local nonprofit organization founded by actress Eva Longoria, will soon open the group's first after-school program for developmentally challenged children and young adults.

More than 40 volunteers from the Valero Energy Corp. Volunteer Council will be on site at the Eva's Heroes Center on Saturday to help paint interior walls, doors, cabinets and provide other final touches for the facility.

The center is located at St. Matthew's Catholic Church and is slated to open in mid-September 2007. This particular center will provide the foundation of what could be a network of similar centers throughout San Antonio, the state, even the nation.

"Eva's Heroes is an organization that strives to enhance the lives of the young adults that are served under the charity," Executive Director Christiane Perkins-Garcia says, adding that the work performed by the Valero Volunteers will help make the center ready for the new school year. Valero Volunteers is made up of employees of San Antonio oil refiner Valero Energy (NYSE: VLO).

Speaking of Eva's Heroes, Longoria says, "This organization is extremely important to me and close to my heart. I was fortunately to grow up with an intellectually disabled sister, so I am very passionate about the opportunity to help young adults with development disabilities by offering a place for them to enrich their lives."

Desperate Houswife Eva Longoria and Tony Parker

Just days before she becomes a real-life married woman, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria takes a happy stroll along the beach in St Tropez. Longoria and fiance Tony Parker were on their respective 'his' and 'hers' bachelor parties in the French millionaire's playground -before they head to Paris for their highly anticipated nuptials.

The couple are staying with friends in the very select beachfront hotel Chateau de la Messardiere. On their first night in St Tropez, the couple were seen at trendy hot-spot Les Caves du Roy until the early hours. The couple also held an exclusive party at the V.I.P. Room for their bachelor parties. The club was split in two: Tony and his pals partied on one side while Eva and her gals lived it up on the opposite side of the spot.

The guest list included Jamie Foxx (one of Eva's favourite singers) and the evening's entertainment featured performances by hip-hop artists Cut Killer and MC Big Ali from New York City. Eva displayed little sign of pre-wedding nerves as she strolled along the french beaches, joking with friends and looking sultry as ever in an electric blue bikini. Eva and Parker, who plays basketball for the San Antonio Spurs, are marrying on 7-7-7 at the 17th Century Chateau Vaux-le- Vicomte in Southern France - where Kirsten Dunst's Marie Antoinette film was shot. Parker has booked Lionel Richie and Jamie Foxx to perform at the ceremony. It's the second time this month that Lionel has filled the role as wedding singer – he recently sang at the big day of English captain John Terry. Other guests at their big day will include Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones and Eva's Desperate Housewives co-stars - including Marcia Cross, who will make the trip to France despite giving birth to twins in February. The castle will close its grounds to the public for the first time ever. The couple have hired the entire Chateau for 6 and 7 July and their guests have been invited to stay in the numerous bedrooms and private apartments on the grounds.
